Just got paid a huge compliment. Had a fellow ride over with a customer he runs a shooting school and had said he had seen several of my rifles on his range and they were all tack drivers and he wanted to meet me. He invited me out for one of their classes and to meet a fellow who wants custom rifle built. Said he had never seen the consistency out of any other rifles that had been shot there. Made me feel good!!!

In my trade that I made a living at; I used to tell men that if you concentrate on doing really good work, the money will follow. Every time someone looks at your work they will smile and speak well of you. But if you do poor work, they will tell everybody. Sounds like your excellent work is speaking well of you.

The best advertisement is the work you do that's seen by others. Do your best to be the best. No matter what.
No experience first hand but glad to be a member ;) and always +1 referrals.
If only worked on Glocks though
:lol4:
Joking! I can handle all my Glock work. But believe you me, if need work on a 1911 or bolt gun, to Sum Gy it's going.

Form follows function - old cliche', but true. It means that if the function (of whatever it is) is beautiful, the form it takes will also be beautiful. If the function is ugly, so will be the form.

Here's the full quote from architect Louis Sullivan:

"Whether it be the sweeping eagle in his flight, or the open apple-blossom, the toiling work-horse, the blithe swan, the branching oak, the winding stream at its base, the drifting clouds, over all the coursing sun, form ever follows function, and this is the law. Where function does not change, form does not change. The granite rocks, the ever-brooding hills, remain for ages; the lightning lives, comes into shape, and dies, in a twinkling.
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic, of all things physical and metaphysical, of all things human and all things superhuman, of all true manifestations of the head, of the heart, of the soul, that the life is recognizable in its expression, that form ever follows function. This is the law."
