Aimshot makes inexpensive lights and lasers for firearms. They have a new weapon laser and weaponlight setup that comes with a wireless rail mounted remote tape switch. I was intrigued by a wireless switch since the cables on tape switches have a tendency to snag on things. This eliminated this problem.
The wireless tapeswitch uses RF signals to transmit a signal to the laser or light. You have both momentary and constant on buttons in the wireless remote.
Gunny I assume you are talking about the Shot Show? First time in four year I haven't been. It is an amazing place to go and see. You just need to be in top notch shape to go in the door or rent a scooter!!
You say that jokingly, Gunny, but I remember back in the 1990's, when Col. Jeff Cooper was writing "Cooper's Corner" on the last page of "Guns & Ammo" magazine every month, he recommended the same thing - buying stock in Duracell.
At one time I thought that for admittance to the SHOT show
that you had to be an FFL holder or an employee of one
who was attending that year in order to get a badge. A
friend of mine who had a real FFL business only could
obtain a few for his employees at that time anyway.
Has that changed since then, this was in the mid 1990s
era?
I don't think you do these days. My brother works on the side for Mossy Oak, I think, out in the DFW areas. He works events they have at places like Bass Pro, Cabela's, etc. He finally has enough seniority this year to go to the show with them, and he's there now. I'm jealous.

In order to power this behemoth, SOCOM is hoping for a backpack-sized battery “capable of providing up to several kilowatts of clean DC power for multiple hours.”
Any power source submitted “should be less than 120VDC and not to exceed 600VDC, although short-term load peaks above this level are possible,” the announcement notes. “These technologies are necessary to provide an uninterrupted source of power to an untethered SOF operator.”
