I know that to have a SBR upper it has to have the proper tax stamp or to be attached to a pistol lower. My question is, is it ok to go ahead and order a sbr upper before you apply for the tax stamp or have a pistol lower . It would not be attached to a lower until i have a tax stamp

I would like to give a big thanks to Jimmy Dozier at Revelations Outdoors, Smithville Ms, for a nice looking engraving job on a gun I built. Thank you for quick turn around and professional service.

I have done a ton of Remington 700. Can a 770 barrel be changed?

I have an old, post-war, pre-Model 10 with a bulged barrel. This is a shooter, not a pretty or expensive gun. Removing these barrels is fraught with danger, as it's supposedly very easy to bend or crack the frame. I chucked the barrel into my large vise and tried twisting the frame (after I...

So I am looking at buying another turkey gun.... So the idea behind the 24" barrel is less weight and maneuverability, right? I mean there may be other benefits or reasons, but those are the main reasons IMO. So my question is, if I chop a shotgun down to 18"-18.5" or even just 20", how much...

I picked one up and have, as of yet, not even shot it. Anybody have any experience with one of these ? Advice on ammunition for it ? I know it will have recoil but not as bad as a Titanium snubby I shot.

What I have. Remington model 11 20 gauge. Had a Cutts choke on it. Long gone. 19-1/2” barrel. Face of bolt to end of barrel. Need it crowned and threaded for extended chokes. Who can do this here in Mississippi and what kind of money am I looking at.

BCA AR-15 Barrel, 16" 4150 Parkerized Heavy Barrel, .300 Blackout, Carbine Length Gas System w/ 1:8 Twist I had been wanting to try out a BCA Barrel for a while. Good friend, @Deersnyper, told me that he has had really good luck with their barrels. So, I purchased the barrel above. I...

I decided a few weeks ago to try out a Bear Creek Barrel. Ordered a 16” 300 blackout. I have never really done a formal break in of a barrel, but in this case I wanted to do everything I could to give this barrel a decent review. The first thing I did after mounting the barrel and getting...

What is your experience with different barrel manufacturers? I am on the lookout for a 223 wylde, 20" length, heavy with fluting, and M4 ramp AR15 barrel. 5r rifling would be a bonus. I am thinking in the $100-$200 range. I am a little disapointed with my AR-Stoner SDM-R barrel for my purposes.

Good and interesting video about the life of rifle barrels and things that contribute to or affect their life.

Part 1 Some of you may remember my PSA AR 15 from gun pics and others may remember posting pictures of groups I shot. Well hear as promised are part of the results, at least the start of the results. The PSA upper has a PSA stainless steel barrel 18 inches length, 1 in 7 twist rate, A2...

Looking for someone in north part of state to thread a .17 HMR barrel. Any suggestions?

We all know about chokes and what they do, but what about going the other direction. Some interesting possibilities that change the pattern of the shot. I wouldn't do this to a favorite, but used shotguns can be had pretty cheap. And guess what - you don't need ATF permission. :) 5 minute...

Getting closer to ordering a barrel for my 223 prairie dog gun build. Looking to mostly shoot 50 to 55 grainers...maybe some 62s. Might occasionally see 60 nosler partitions for long range hogs. I've settled on a Shilen 24" barrel machined by Dedicated Technologies (DTech) in a 1:10 twist...

Has anyone used this, Brownells - AR15/M16 Barrel Extension Torque Tool? I see it has good reviews. I am sure many of you have used action blocks for AR15s, but I decided to buy this for my use. I don't want to damage the receiver. First I want to remove an A2 flash hider that is canted, over...

Wasn't sure what forum to post this in, but since a cannon is a firearm.................:D Friend Zulu shows his part in this process. Making the wood pattern. Then follows it thru at the foundry that he's making these for. Enjoy! :) WWA Info Exchange • View topic - I need help with a...

Just picked this little jewel up yesterday in a trade off Armslist. Came with both sets of original Ruger grips, plus 100 rounds of .357 ammo (50 rnds 110 gr JHP, 50 rnds 158 gr JSP). I really like 3-inch barreled revolvers. They're only an inch longer than a snubby, so they're still...

Does anyone have Art’s (sum guy) barrel break in procedure I thought I wrote it down. I want to use it on my wife’s 25-06 that is never used, so I might as well play with it. Maybe he will answer, but I’m hoping to use it for this factory Remington 700.
