I don't always agree with what Jim Wilson says, but I always like to read what he says. He usually has some good points. In this case, I agree with him. Shooting to Stop: Caliber Considerations for Self-Defense

You never know till you try. The laser would come on for a couple seconds, then it would not work till you let it sit for a while. Well I was in my recliner around 11pm last night, I got the box that the gun came in, got the directions on the laser and took it off the gun. I first thought that...

If you had to pick a small caliber handgun, anything between .22lr and 9mm, what would it be? Had to be something that would be super easy to conceal in, let’s say, a coat pocket or inside a waistband. I think I’d pick a PPK in .32acp. What about you?

I heard today about a genteman in the north part of the state who is building nice air rifles. Fella said he visited the gentleman's shop and took one for a test ride. Apparently he's getting 800 fps with a 300 grain .45 projectile. From what I understand he offers several calibers as well. Any...

Never been much of an AR fan, but maybe a 6.5 Grendel will cure that. Hopefully it will be accurate enough to justify keeping it around for deer hunting.
  8. Reloading/Ammunition
I decided to load up a few 240 grain JHP in .44 Special to carry in the Charter Arms Bulldog. I just noticed this in my Speer #10 Reloading manual. I guess I'm just noticing it, because I've never loaded JHPs in .44 Special, and always used Blue Dot for JHP's in .44 Mag. Notice for .44...

Ok, asking this because I'm confusing myself. I already have a Dillon Square Deal that I've been using but I just purchased a new to me Dillon 650 and now I've got to start looking to buy dies and accessories for the new machine. So does anyone have any thoughts good/bad on any brand of dies...

The choice is between 458 socom & 7.62x40wt My view of either 458 pros I cast, bullets will be cheap....ish. Extremely potent round, will go thru nearly anything. Exciting because no one around me has one. I know someone with one that I can bouce trouble shooting off of. It's a freaking 458...

Figured this would be the best area to ask in.... I have a little over 100 rounds of 50 BMG that were a good friend of mine's. I want to link them up and hang in shop in his remembrance. Anyone have a linker that would link these together for me? I don't mind paying for your time. I just...

Looking for 50 or 100 rd reloading blocks in either clear acrylic or alum. Would like to have them caliber specific for the following calibers. .223 .308 .300 Norma I don't need any fancy engraving, just would like to have the holes evenly spaced and a tight fit around the case. I...

These shootings in churches and crowds has got me to thinking. Sure I could use a 357 to stop someone fast and where I live I don,t have to worry about crowds of people. It makes me look at my 38s more. Or 45acp, and 40cal. I would rather take a bullet than accidently have a bullet go through a...

I have an opportunity to buy a Glock 32 in 357 Sig. I thought that it would be a good companion to my Glock 17 in 9mm. I have never shot one but have ordered some Sig brand ammo to try it out. Is this a popular caliber, or just another hot rod like the 10mm? I glanced at the specs but don,t...
