When I disassembled my 10/22 today I had to use a good bit of force to pry the ejector from the slot it fits into. I saw a video earlier where it just falls right out. I thought it and the slot just needed cleaning but I ended up sanding the ejector till it slipped in but with no slop. I shot roughly 50 rounds through it today with no issues other than a weak round not ejecting. How is it supposed to fit the slot?

I have seen them fit loose and tight. It does not seem to matter how they fit, they seem to function OK either way.

One of mine flopped around loose and the other took a pair of pliers to remove. Couldn't tell any difference in performance.

As inexpensive as they are, I'll probably order a new one since I sanded all the finish off the front of this one.
