So if the 28ga couldn’t be sold because it was a handgun over .50 bore or a shotgun under 18” barrel then how are these legal? Wouldn’t the same apply here?

Back in the 70's when we had the "energy crisis" and people were blockading trucks, my uncle was an independent driver. He took an old .410 side by side and turned it into a pistol-Never had any problems with folks trying to stop him from fueling up after that.
Anyways, I remember as a kid loving to shoot it and have wanted one ever since. I would love one in 20 ga.

His shotty buck -n-ball and slugs can be a little stout.

That 1911 was isn’t bp.
It was also a custom job in the Philippines.

I want the 10 ga. model!

I want a single shot 10 gauge shotgun.

He probably has 4oz slugs
Don't think they are 4 oz but they good.

Yep......I use 3” and 3 1/2” shell load data for high brass 2 3/4” shells because of the payload. The minie ball is 2oz of lead......you need a bunch of powder to get those down range with authority!

Well, if it's too much worse than a 500 I dont want none.

The 500 magnum snubbie was manageable and fun to shoot but too much more would just be punishmen .

Got one.
Way back when Monkey Wards was closing out their firearms a buddy of mine worked there. They had an H&R 10 ga I got for 25 bucks after my friend's employee discount. 3 1/2" mag I cut down to 18.5 inches. The barrel wall is dang near 3/16ths thick. I took the front sight and JB Welded it onto the cut down barrel. I told another buddy that it looked dang near like a thumper. He said no, the stock ain't right. A couple months later he came over with a stock he made to fit that looks like the M79 stock. NOW it does look like an old thumper. You dang sure know when you torch one off, but it is fun now and again.

Had one years ago that was death to turkeys. Father in law called one in for me but he turned before he got into “good range” so I smoked him , Father-in-law just sat there shaking his head and said “ is there anything left?”

LOL I just think throwing that payload would be awesome. Can you imagine even a reduced load #4 buckshot load? LOL Or a triple pumpkin ball load. Whatever you hit would be in a serious hurt locker.:D
