Any recommendations for antique colt parts? I need a few items for some old cap n' ball colts.

Is there a popular method of building up the rear of the cylinder that rides against the frame? Mine is heavily warn and has extreme cylinder to barrel gap.

Likely best bet would be buying modern reproduction parts, just make a note of which parts are the reproductions and which are original, like keeping the original bits in a bag or something so you always have them.

Can you post a few pictures? Is it the cylinder worn? Or frame battered from heavy loads? Hand notches ok? How much barrel to cylinder gap?

My go-to sources for antique gun parts has always been Numerich Arms (now Gun Parts Corp., I think) and Sarco. If they don't have what you need, then start searching the internet! Good Luck.
