I've noticed some members very knowledgeable with 1911's. Maybe you can help identity this magazine.

I had a Colt 1911 made in 1918 and sold it years ago. It came with the two tone magazine and another magazine. The two tone went with the sale and I kept this magazine.
I searched to no avail to id the mag. I thought it was a fake General Shaver but could not find where any were made in Mexico. I searched the Obregon, Ballester, Sistema and their mags don't match.

It has a pinned base which is unusual for a copy. It has no other markings on the magazine.
Thanks

I checked the Obregon before & no match. What is peculiar is the G on the baseplate tab, like they tried to copy a General Shaver magazine.

Appreciate the response. Was thinking maybe someone has seen one before.

That one is unusual... first time I've seen one. Thanks for sharing it with us!!!

Check over on the M1911(dot)org Forum... you might find some answers there.
