Looks like the Eley Tenex is top-of-the-line stuff. But .40 a round from Midway...Geez :tears:

Re: 22 RimFire Target Ammo

I went down to magnolia and shot sunday with a box full of different ammo trying to see what shot the best out of my Kimber. The Wolf Match Extra shot better than anything else including the Eley Ten X, second was the Eley match in the black box, third was the Lapua Midas.

Wolf Match Extra in Kimber 82's...aint got none though :tears:

Elay Target from the CMP was not too bad....you would not believe how much point of aim changes at 100 yards with various ammo, even of like velocities....I was very surprised

Federal Gold metal was about 18 inches higher point of aim than Elay Target...

Winchester T22 shot fairly well in my Kimber

Did not shoot any Tenex...I did not want to know if it shot well :lol3: Its as expensive as 308, thus defeating one of the main purposes of F class 22 as far as I'm concerned

Re: 22 RimFire Target Ammo

I have been using Wolf Match Target in my rifles for years. It is made by Lapua in West Germany and it is the best bang for the buck.

Also I have had some success with Eley Sport and Aquila Centurion HV ammo. These brands are superior to anything you can get at WA-Mart, especially the bulk packs.

Re: 22 RimFire Target Ammo

Been too busy to investigate this. Anybody found a good (read "cheap") source for the Wolf ammo? Maybe a local dealer could order some? I'll commit to a 1000 rounds if price is fair.

Re: 22 RimFire Target Ammo

I'd suggest buying about 10 different 50 round boxes from Midway...try elay...various types, wolf, a box of federals,

Don't waste your money on the cheap Remington and bulk box stuff...save that for squirrels

Go out and carefully shoot em to see how they group...Make notes

pick one or two then settle on em... order your ammo...I screwed up last weekend and shot 5 or 6 brands....moved my scope a bunch and can't remember what I was shooting last...meaning my first string Sat am is gonna be a hoot...don't do like ole 'neck

2 bricks aint much...There was a day when I brought 22 ammo home 20,000 rds at a time

Most accurate for the money would be Wolf Match Target or SK Standard Plus (its the exact same just different packaging). Less than $5 a box of 50.
My CZ loves it and shoots one-holers at 50m. 10shot groups.

PM'd.

I have a distributor with both the "Match Target" and "Match Extra" Wolf .22 LR ammunition. If anyone else is interested let me know. :tophat:

Ordered a couple of the "extra". Maybe they will start stocking it if we start buying it.

Anyone else want in on this order? If I don't order in bulk shipping costs would become an issue. (I get free shipping after a certain point) i'll leave this order open until Monday, if anyone else wants in at the prices stated above please let me know. FYI nobody will be paying extra for shipping this time whether it's two bricks or ten.

Your ammo is in, as well as Sid's. I also ordered two spare bricks of the Match Extra (they are here in stock) if anyone else needs some, $75/each. Please keep in mind that I work for a retail store and will have to get tax on top of that price.
