I tried 5 diffrent types of subsonic bullets today out of my 10/22. It has a Tactical Solutions lite weight aluminum flutted barrel and I put my Coastal .223 can on it. This barrel is no tack driver but does good on squirrels and such. Then again the scope has the shotgun retical and may be why my groups suffer. All the rounds were quiet but the Aguila Super Extra was by far the quietest but was not reliable in my automatic. Five shot groups at 31 yards.

Dont know if you guys have tried it but CCI, Federal match, and Fiocchi all have standard vel ammo that stays subsonic in a 16" barrel. It costs more than the dang subs and its waxed lead... But still it may give you a little more oomf! or penetration since its solid tip

The Federal Match and the Fiocchi,etc. is pretty good ammo. As we use alot of Eley, RWS and Lapua rimfire match ammo for Benchrest shooting and yes sir it get's costly. We use ammo that the speed's run from 950 to 1120 fps (in the range of 1040 to 1080 work's good)just me saying,if you play,you pay for sure, YBRF Rambo

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe SK standard plus runs in the 950 range and is really accurate in my 10/22T

Ive started buying my 22 match and std vel ammo at cheaperthandirt.com since its about half price from what the local stores have it. The fiocchi is less than $3 per 50

I been using the 60gr SSS. They work wonders on critters. Its what i use to put a hog down thats in the trap. Not quite sure on the accuracy but ive shot birds off the line from 75yds.

in my mark ii, it shoots pretty much identical to the cci standard velocity. Same zero on scope at 50 yards.

I know CCI makes pistol ammo is in the 950 to 1000 fps,as some Eley,Lapua and SK ammo which is made pistol match shooting(may be marked as OPS, Olympic Pistol Shooting). In our benchrest shooting we use everything from 1150 down to 950 fps, and when the wind is blowing pretty hard we slow it down. Cause the effect on the slower bullet is not as bad as the faster one plus you still need to know how to read the wind. YBRF Rambo

What twist barrel are you using with those SSS 60gr. ammo, just curious. I've shot some of them out of my match bolt gun (1-16 twist barrel) out to 100 yds and they are pretty accurate and slow. YBRF Rambo
