Had a great time. Just wish I could have done better, but it does give me the opportunity to do better next time (provided I don't destroy the target again  ). I'll be looking to get a better (much better) scope than what I had today and shoot the Ruger 10/22 instead. Got to put more faces with names too, also a good thing.

I wasn't welcome in his truck either, he threatened to make me walk home. I just had to remind him that Mrs SGMJody wouldn't allow that!

Thank you Captain for all your work! I appreciate you setting SGMJody and I on the same lane!

Looks like that effort weighing & sorting rounds paid off for somebody! Darn good shooting Justin.

I had a great time. Shot like crap. 12x scope ain't gonna get it. Need to practice shooting prone more, I have never shot prone much.

This ammo wasn't weighed. We found out that wasn't worth the effort. Most of the credit goes to SGMJody, he has taught me alot about shooting!

But, thank you for the compliment!

Pictures & Comments.....

Relay 1 on the line.

Shooting at 15 targets setup.

Shoe trying to hide just in case he shot bad today. He shot pretty well.

Captain packing up the gear after the match.

I am getting one of these............... Much better than my wooden block.

After the match I met a fellow Magnolia member on the West-25 Range to PLAY with these.............

Berreta BM-59. Looks like an M-14, but came out before the M-14. Based off a modified Garand. 308 and full-auto.... :)

British Sterling. Actual British manufacture, not a tube-gun. 9mm and full-auto....... :)

The member also had an AR-15 with a DIAS (Drop In Auto Sear) that we gave a work-out.

OK, now for my comments........................

1. The shooting format used today worked out well. Shooting Relay 1 & Relay 2, Relay 2 & Relay 1, Relay 1 & Relay 2 ran smoothly.

2. PLEASE fillout your scorecards COMPLETELY as you know your gear. And write CLEARLY............... If you don't want people to know your gear, just write "NA" in the spot(s).

3. Total up your scorecards (correctly) before turning them in. At least total the strings.................

4. Sign your scorecard.................. Shooters and Scorers.

5. Please don't use big felt pens (markers) to write on the scorecards. Stick with ball-point pens.

6. I think at the next match someone should show the shooters how to score and record the targets.

OK, enough "comments" for now.

Agreed. I showed a few people how to fill out the scorecards the same way we do the highpower scorecards.

I will try and post the few pics I got tomorrow since I will have to do it from my laptop and the battery on it is dead at the moment.

A little known fact from today....... (because I have the scorecards).

Both Captain and J. Suber shot a 100 target score. All 10s with a few Xs. CONGRATS guys ! ! !

I was wondering about that. I scored Jim's, so I knew there was at least one. :awesome:

Here's my pics from the match:

And here's the match winner giving his bullet instructions on exactly where to hit on the target.

jbpmidas and I had a very enjoyable time. We again want to thank the members of the Magnolia club for their hospitality and to extend a great big "Thank You" to Captain for the time he spent with us making us feel at home on the range. This was a very well organized match.

Two side notes:

1. This was not one of jbpmidas better days. He does shoot good and "Congratulations" to him for a well shot match.

2. Most importantly, "I taught him everything he knows about shooting".

We're looking forward to the next match.
