300 AAC Blackout, would you buy it again?

I have an opportunity to buy an Anderson Upper. I think it is fairly priced. (my research says)
MY question to MSGO, is, if you started from scratch, would you buy the caliber?(again) 16inch, no suppressor.

I reload, but, not really seeking to start up another caliber. Down the rabbit hole again.

Thanks in advance. Thought/opinions.

I've never had good luck in 3 different 300 Bogus barrels lengths.
If your only into plinking, 7.62x39
Only hunting, 6.8
Plinking and very little hunting, 223 with Atleast 8 twist to shoot the heavies.

Yes I would.

After talking to a few buddies that do a lot of room entry for a living, and have used them on 2 legged varmits, I will continue to own a .300BO

It all depends on why you want it, and the use for which it's intended.

16" barrel, I wouldn't build another, for my interests. There's no advantage to having a 16" barrel over a 9-12" for my purposes.

9" with a brace, or registered SBR (I have both), I will not be without, unless the .gov takes them away.

I built a 10.5" sbr and in the last month I purchased an IWI Tavor in 300 BO I absolutely love both of them. I'm running a silencerco Omega on it and its quite a nice piece to shoot. The recoil is very minimal when it is suppressed and the gas is not as bad on the Tavor as it is on my 10.5" AR.

Adjustable gas block on AR? Also found upgrading BCG to a more vented one as well as drilling the CH to help with GITF (gas in the face)

The gun functioned fine without need an adjustable gas block and as far as the BCG or drilling the CH the gas in the face wasn't horrible enough to warrant those items. I recently got to shoot my upper on a FA lower and the gas wasn't horrible. Just in general the gas from the Tavor was less than on my AR. So ultimately they're both pleasant to shoot I just enjoy the Tavor more due to the reduced felt recoil. My AR has a Armaspec Captured buffer spring in it that most definitely helped, it's just the benefit of the bull pup design that has reduced recoil.
