What is a .38 S&W? Can you shoot it out of a .38 special? I got a line on 3 or 4 boxes at a low price. Thanks for any info.

Yes you can but it's not going to be very accurate. If it's factory ammo than it's a .360 cal bullet versa the .38 spl being .357. Might get some lead splatter from the forcing cone.

But you can reload .357 bullets in .38s&w cases all day long.

I guess you could shoot it in a 38 special in a life or death situation...but I really don't know why you'd wanna try it

38 s&w ammo is pretty high generally speaking

shorter case and wider bullet than 38 spcl

3spop I'll pour ya some .357 for .38 specials if you need some

Naw man. I just had an opportunity to get some 38 s&w's at halfprice and wondered if they would be ok in the wifes little 38 special.

One other reason you might NOT want to do it...when you shoot very short ammo in the 38 special...It tends to leave nasty carbon rings...a PIA to clean

Load the wife some soft 38 specials for her to shoot
