Accurate Arms the maker of Solo 1000 states that the powder can be used for 38 special loads.

None of my books had any info...nor did their web page so I emailed them

This was the reply...Quite a wide range for a starting and ending load...so it may have potential...Both loads are lead cast bullets

Caliber: .38 Special.
Barrel length: 4”
Powder: Accurate – Solo 1000®.
Bullet weight: 110 grains. Ca 1.442”
Low load: 3.6 grains (825 – 875 Ft/p/sec)
Midrange load: 4.1 grains (925– 975 Ft/p/sec).
Maximum load: 4.5 grains (1000 – 1075 Ft/p/sec).

Bullet weight: 158 grains. COL ca 1.520-1550”
Low load: 3.0 grains (700 – 750 Ft/p/sec)
Midrange load: 3.4 grains (760 – 825 Ft/p/sec).
Maximum load: 3.8 grains (875 – 925 Ft/p/sec).

NOTES:
It’ important to note that SAFETY is our prime concern therefore we strongly recommend.
1. TO ALWAYS BEGIN LOADING AT THE RECOMMENDED MINIMUM “START” LOAD and develop loads in 2% increments towards the MAXIMUM load.
2. CAUTION: Beware of double charging if the loading density is below 50% of the available volume.
3. If possible, measure the velocity and correlate with our data.

Tried 3.5 Grains Solo 1000 in 38 special tonight with a 110 Gr lead wadcutter seated flush.

Very soft...good accuracy and what I really like....clean burning

Gun was a 4 inch S&W Model 686
