From what I read on the forums it seems most use Gold dot or Hydro-shok. Just wondered your preference and where (or if) it can be found at a reasonable price in the Jackson area?

A lot of people seem to like Hornady Critical Defense in .380 as well. I personally load my LCP with with 90 gr Power Ball (because it seems to feed very reliably in the LCP).

Not sure about what's available up in Jackson, tho. Good luck.

RE: .380 defense ammo?
Federal Hydra Shok in all of my of handguns.........

As far as finding a "good" price on anything 380, good luck! .
Most of us old timers saw the need to stock pile ammo long before Oblahblah. I am presently shooting ammo that I purchased in the late 1960's and early 70's and probably won't live long enough to get into the 1980's and 90's stock at the rate I shoot these days…….My kids will enjoy my guns and ammo when I am gone…..

I use fmj after watching a variety of hollow points splatter against a piece of 3/16th inch aluminum and then watching the fmj's slam right through (I had two pieces spaced 8" apart, they did not go through both pieces but did leave a considerable dent in the second piece). I don't want bones stopping the bullets travel.
