6.8SPC = .270WIN?

was talking to a friend and he was asking if the 6.8SPC is the same as the .270 Winchester...

anyone know? the paper shows it as a .270 caliber, but is that just the size of the bullet, or does that mean he can buy .270 ammo and shoot it through this AR?

6.8 came out to "roid" up the wus 223 round....smoffett's 6.8 that I shot at the M&G #2 is to die for as far as an AR is concerned

Though I prefer bolt guns...I like 6.8 better than any 223...Of course none compare to God's caliber.... .308 AR-10 Gotta get one ...one day
