I made one of these rifles 25 years or so ago and making brass from 06 was a pain, but 35 whelan brass ought to take a step or two out of the process. What do you think?

It should work OK but check the loaded neck diameter. When sizing necks down, the necks may thicken. If you fire the oversized neck diameter ammo, it can spike pressure.
