Did not know exactly where to post this and hope it fits OK here. The following link is to an article in the latest edition of Shooting Sports USA. Many of you perhaps subscribe but for those who don't, I hope you enjoy this look into history and appreciate the accomplishment.

Great story. But every time I hear or read the words Camp Perry I have to kick myself. Prior to my joining the department, the pistol team shot bullseye and had six or seven Camp Perry accurized Gold Cups. And I didn't have the money to buy one when they sold them.

I hope you get the opportunity.......
I shot in the DCM and NRA High Power Matches numerous times back years ago...
Since I have taken up ATA Trapshooting I have been able to attend the Grand American Trap Shoot several times and hope to again this year. If I took the time to develop a bucket list, going back to Camp Perry, if for no other reason just to see it again, would be on it. I still have my High Power shooting "stuff" but nort sure my body and eyes could do it. Perry has changed a lot since the last time I attended. Still a lot of history and tradition there.
I know what having the opportunity to attend those "World Series - Super Bowl" type events in my shooting sports meant to me, unforgettable. For any shooter who greatly enjoys their shooting discipline, attending those type events is just hard to describe.
