I went to the local pawn shop last Thursday and found this fine gun. It is a Remington 870 Field Grade 12 GA 2-3/4” chamber with a plain barrel, modified choke. The gun was made in 1958 according to the letter proofs on the left side of the barrel. It is not in perfect shape but it is in great shape for the vintage.
I took the gun to the SW Gun Club’s Trap Shoot and shot one round of Trap with it. I scored 25 out of 25 at 16 yards.
They charged me $225.00 for it and it is definitely NFS.
I missed out on this deal. I didn’t take Doug at his word when he told me how nice a gun it was and that I should go look at it. Won’t make that mistake again.
