Was walking to a deer stand and kinda noticed this for the first time.

I've walked past it many times...

Kinda makes me think of the term "Adapt and Overcome"...a reminder I could stand to remember fairly often

Thanks for the pic 'Neck. Reminds me of a sweet gum I know of that has either been struck by lightning or broken apart from high winds, it has literal caves in it, like a hollowed out tree in places with a green top and a few limbs. I have seen it several times and thought the same thing, I ain't givin up!!

It's amazing what we walk past time and time again. I was walking of the woods last night, frustrated because I wouldn't be able to hunt this morning and had a terrible afternoon (nothing seemed to go right, down to having to cut holes in the pockets of my brand new coat because the zippers stuck) and for some reason I looked up.

The stars were so brilliant, and it just stunned me how beautiful the night sky is when there's no city lights to obscure it. I just stood looking, and all my frustration just melted away.
