Sposed to get off at 4 today but got tied up with a customer and didn't get out till about 415 so jumped in the truck and headed to the folks place. Didn't have any of my gear so called dad and asked him to set one of his rifles out for me to use and went and sat in the stand for a few minutes. Didn't see squat but some squirrels but man how relaxing. There is no better way than to watch darkness fall on some woods you are in away from all the hussle and bussle of corporate/ retail america. Can't wait till thursday! Hope to get to watch the sun come up in the same spot. That is all.

So far this year I've been out four times, and haven't seen a thing. I almost shot a squirrel just to see what a 30/30 would do to it, but I didn't. Lost my best coyote caller walking out of the forest saturday, so that hunt was a deficit. But sitting in the woods is still relaxing.
