A document written by Chinese scientists and Chinese public health officials in 2015 discussed the weaponisation of SARS coronavirus, reveals the Weekend Australian.
Titled The Unnatural Origin of SARS and New Species of Man-Made Viruses as Genetic Bioweapons, the paper predicted that World War Three would be fought with biological weapons.

Released five years before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it describes SARS coronaviruses as a “new era of genetic weapons” that can be “artificially manipulated into an emerging human disease virus, then weaponised and unleashed in a way never seen before”.

Peter Jennings, the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), told news.com.au that the document is as close to a “smoking gun” as we’ve got.

“I think this is significant because it clearly shows that Chinese scientists were thinking about military application for different strains of the coronavirus and thinking about how it could be deployed,” said Mr Jennings.

“It begins to firm up the possibility that what we have here is the accidental release of a pathogen for military use,” added Mr Jennings.
He also said that the document may explain why China has been so reluctant for outside investigations into the origins of COVID-19.

Accidental? Or intentional test release?

LOL, after working there for 8 years, I can tell you I would not have one single doubt they did this.

The lab leak hypothesis was always the most likely. Only politics, not new evidence, changed the narrative | Washington Examiner
...

By April 2020, we knew that:
  • The State Department had warned in 2018 that the WIV, China's only BSL-4 laboratory, was conducting dangerous gain-of-function experiments on novel coronaviruses.
  • The WIV lab of Shi Zhengli, China's "bat woman," experimented on RaTG13, the closest known genetic cousin to SARS-Cov-2, with a 96% nucleotide similarity.
  • Despite the fact that RaTG13 and other bat-borne coronaviruses were discovered over 1,000 miles away in Yunnan, we have zero evidence of COVID-19 infections between Yunnan and Wuhan prior to the pandemic. This makes it extraordinarily likely that the virus did indeed originate in Wuhan.
  • The Huanan Seafood Market did not sell bats.
  • The Lancet letter lividly denouncing the possibility that COVID emerged from a lab was organized by Peter Daszak, the virologist who funded Zhengli's gain-of-function research on novel coronaviruses.
  • Daszak himself was funded by Anthony Fauci's NIAID even though the Obama administration tried to end the funding of gain-of-function research, citing safety concerns.
  • The NIH demanded Daszak stop funding the WIV after the onset of the pandemic.
  • The United States government was actively considering the lab leak hypothesis probable.
  • The Chinese Communist Party was blocking any attempt by outside investigators to enter the WIV....
What have we learned since then? Not much, thanks to the Chinese Communist Party. Even World Health Organization boss Tedros Adhanom, who was bought and paid for by the party, conceded that his team's "investigation" of the lab was not credible or complete. And considering that Daszak was the only American on the WHO investigation team, Tedros was obviously right.

Gov. Reeves does not anticipate mask mandates in K-12 schools starting next fall (wlox.com)

By Josh Carter | May 18, 2021 at 5:10 PM CDT - Updated May 19 at 8:01 AM

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Gov. Tate Reeves says that he does not anticipate there being any mask mandates in Mississippi schools next fall semester.

In March, Reeves lifted the mask mandate in the state but kept the mask requirement in K-12 schools in place. That executive order is set to expire on the last day of the school year.

In an interview with Y’all Politics on Tuesday, Reeves was asked if that order would stay in place.
Mississippi’s K-12 students will NOT be required to wear masks when school resumes in Fall 2021, Governor @tatereeves said this morning. #COVID19

Reeves responded that he does not foresee it lasting, stating “I do not anticipate there being any mask mandates in K through 12 settings to begin next fall.”

Students have been wearing masks in Mississippi since last August, which allowed many in the state to return to in-person learning.

It was announced late Tuesday afternoon that Texas governor Greg Abbott has ordered all schools in Texas to eliminate their mask mandate.

House Intelligence Committee Republicans released a report on the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday and pointed the finger directly at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, arguing there is “overwhelming circumstantial evidence” supporting the hypothesis COVID-19 originated in the lab.

County finds it overcounted COVID-19 deaths by 25%, says some deaths 'clearly not caused by COVID' | Washington Examiner

A California county is revising its COVID-19 death total after a review found that a quarter of the deaths that were attributed to COVID-19 were not caused by the disease.

“There are definitely people who died from reasons that were clearly not caused by COVID,” said Alameda County Public Health Department spokeswoman Neetu Balram.

At issue was the definition the county was using to count COVID-19 deaths, requiring only that a patient tested positive for the virus when they died, even if they did not die as a direct result of the virus. In one such case, a person who tested positive for COVID-19 and died in a car crash was recorded as a COVID-19 death.

The revised count now shows the county has recorded 1,223 COVID-19 deaths, down from 1,634. The 411 cases removed from the list is a 25% reduction in overall virus deaths for the county.

The county said it decided to make the revision after a careful reading of state guidelines, with officials saying the new count will more accurately reflect the effect the disease has had on the county.

“Obviously, our definition was broader than the state’s,” Balram said.

Is anyone really surprised by that?
