I went to Academy sports today and I found a great sale. Monarch .223 Rem ammo is $6/20 rounds. I bought 6 boxes today and ill be buying a case this weekend. and there was a mess up in the recent flyer and they have Blazer 9mm, .40S&W and .45 ammo on sale for $12/50. I couldnt pass it up and I figure ill let yall know.

Monarch has brass and steel. At least they do here in Gulfport. It's in the mall right north of i10 on hwy49. If anyone wants I can pick some up before they sell out.

It does say "starting at $11.99" in my flyer. Are the actually selling the .45 for $12 ? Did they mess up ? Would it would be worth it for me to drive down Sunday.

The guy behind the gun counter said even the .45. I will go by there tomorrow and pick up a box of .40 just to make sure. I can always use an excuse to go for more ammo ha. He is the one that told me about the mess up. He said it will ring up at the counter normal but just tell them about the flyer.

Many times they have a limit on the # of boxes you can get on a sale price...5 comes to find...so keep that in mind if you are driving very far

I shoot Monarch 115 Gr FMJ in my Glocks in USPSA at times...good ammo

Well I bought 6 boxes of .223 today no problems. And the dude said there was no limit. I'd buy 6 boxes tomorrow just to see but I think the wife would kill me. I just spent a chuck on ammo today and I got new exhaust put on the 79. I'll ask the details tomorrow.

Picked up the ammo. Just go to the gon section tell them you want the $12 ammo. It's monarch not blazer, oops.

Hey bro. Watch that stuff. I bought some in a pinch once and consider myself lucky to still have my head. Its boxed for Academy by a British company....RUSSIAN MADE!!! Barely still have my brain housing group attached after some pressure issues. Did some testing (behind a steel plate) and their loads are VERY inaccurate from one box to the next. Some had 23gr. Some had almost 40 gr of powder. No s**t. True story. There I was....

Thanks for the heads up. I shot a few boxes thru my .45 without an issue but I'll weigh a few of these and see what I get.

They had some aluminum last time I bought any from up there. No trouble shooting it though. Did see the Made in Russia on there as Tanker said.
