It is a shame that a town the size of Hattiesburg has no NRA gun club. The members of the forum should try to form one. I am the President of the Mississippi State Firearm Owners Association and the NRA Range Technical Team Advisor for Mississippi. I would come to Hattiesburg and meet with you any time you want to. I can advise you on the process in starting a club and help determine the suitability of the proposed land selected for the range.

I have been pondering this recently as well. Not necessarily NRA just a range though I'm not opposed to an NRA range.

An NRA Range is the easiest way to go with insurance, etc. They have a great range book you can buy to get ideas. One of you guys in Hattiesburg will have to pick up the ball and try to organize a meeting. It would be a lot of work but it would be worth it in the long run.

None with any benefits. You can go it alone but there is NO support from any other organization, like there is from the NRA.
