I use an annealeez on every bottleneck cartridge i reload, on every firing. I can definitely tell a difference when resizing and on case life. It is worth it to me and was easy enough to figure out with a yellow bottle of tempilaq

I want to start but it seems akin to alchemy. The machines seem the best route but they are mighty high. At my shooting volume (relatively low for bottleneck) it seems buying brass is cheaper.

Wondering if anyone has tried “candle annealing” ? Also read a similar article using a “alcohol burner” ? Do these methods actually get the brass to the proper temp to actual anneal it?

Seems like a cost effective method, if it actually works

I tried a candle a while back. Did it in the dark but didn’t see a glow. Dropped cases as they got too hot to hold at the base. No idea if it helped anything or not. Tried it on my most worn out 45-70 cases. Been loaded about 20 times now.
