Its a .40. I realllllly wanted the XDm but he hooked me up big time on this so I couldnt refuse it. I just cant bring myself to get a 9mm.

Why no 9mm? Cheaper to shoot!!!!!!! My xD(M)9 holds 19+1. What problem can I not solve with that? You can always get a conversion barrel for your .40.

I even bought a box of critical defense ammo today, the problem mow is they don't want to feed right. The doesn't seem to sit all the way tight up in the gun. Anyone else ever see that?

Aight got some. Heres what I got.

This is what I mean by not sitting in all the way.

And then this happen when I go condition 1.

Look at the mag. And then its jammed as well.

Think it might be because the mags are brand new? With 12 rounds it have too much pressure? Or the rounds, they are pointy and a little rubber in the tip haha.

it's a known fact critical defense is chit man!!! Pure marketing scheme..... That being said my xd45 and 40 just wont deny anything I feed em.......

Yea I feed more thru it and it seems to work more than not. I can see the defect with the rounds. Maybe they will be my first target rounds, just to get rid of em.

I go with what shoots best in each pistol. So far I use my hydroshocks in my XD40SC and XTs in my XD9 Service. If they don't feed well try somehing else. It pays to try a few different rounds for a defensive weapon.

Critical Defense feeds fine in all three of my Glocks, (in 9mm). But I've yet to find an ammo Glocks won't feed.

This is the second thread this week on XD problems.

Not trying to start a Glock vs XD thread hi-jack, just saying it's hard not to notice these things. I was considering an XD the last couple of years but have decided to stick with Glock.

That said, anytime you want to get together & go shoot Lt.Dan give this Corporal of Marines a call. We'll get that XD figured out.

2 threads is hardley enough data to say XD's have problems. I have 2, one of them has about 6000 round through it with no problems. As the platform becomes more popular you'll see the number of issues increase just because of market penetration. I've seen a few glock problem threads as well this week, but I don't think it's indicative of the brand.

So your XD don't like Critical defense ammo...Its OK...

That's why you test your ammo and carry gun before you tote it...

That's called being smart....You could probably lightly polish the feed ramp and it would be fine....

I too am getting to were I don't like any bullets with plastic tips...I see no need for em...ex the A-max rifle bullets from Hornady

Try loading 1 less round in the magazine, and see if that makes a difference.

Yea yall got good points. This is my first time using this ammo and I can see where they have some good ideas in theory, kinda like democracy is a good idea in theory. These round seem a little small on the kill end so thats where I can see why they arent feeding right, not a big deal like MSREDNECK said jut find what works right. Ill be heading to the range here sometime time soon to get rid of them and in the meantime ill pick up a box of normal JHP's. 4RUNNER, I'm heading to Norfolk, VA tomorrow for work and ill be up there all week so when I get back we should hit the range, you been to GUN-HO yet? Last I heard is they are open for business. I'll get a hold of ya when I'm back in town and we can head out there.

Yep, I've been over to Gun Ho to shoot once. Nice place, highly reccommend it.
