Got an email from the friend who was selling the 1903. He didnt sell it because the guy couldnt come up with the money. He added a few details, he had taken it to someone who said they knew about them. The 1903 has RIA behind the front sight. It also has a Rock Island 1929 Barrel. It has a front hand grip with a sighting groove on top, he said not original to the gun. Is that right? He offered him $300 for it. He didnt take it. Still doesnt know what its worth.

Does it say Rock Island Armory on the receiver ring? If the serial number is below 285,507, do not buy it for shooting full power loads. Go to WWW.odcmp.com and go to sales. Then go to 1903 rifles and it explains the low number rifles in detail.
