Anyone regularly shoot clay targets? Do you shoot informally on home range or at a gun club or both? What games do you shoot--trap, skeet, 5 stand, sporting clays, etc., or do you just shoot for hunting practice? Anyone have a list of Mississippi ranges with shotgunning facilities?

Never shot Trap, but would like to try it............

My parents, lifetime NSSA members, were pro skeet shooters back in the day. When I was growing up there were 1100's all over the house. Once when I was about 16, I grabbed the wrong one on my way to a dove hunt and after missing all the birds I shot a hillside to pattern it. It shot very high and then I looked at the receiver and read "TRAP"! Dad explained there is something different about the stock that makes you shoot high for trap shooting.

Membership is $200/year and $2.00/round of 25 skeet or trap targets.
We shoot every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

I love to shoot the little clay birds but I cannot find anyone to shoot with me. What few times I have shot skeet/trap have been at Starkville Gun Club. I have plenty of rounds already purchased and it looks like I'm going to have to give them to the 4H youngsters so they can shoot more.
