my dad is thinkin about gettin a cva scout 35 wheelin to primitive weapon hunt with but someone told him it kicks like a mule. was hopin maybe one of ya'll had one that could give us some insight on it and maybe shoot it.

Got two friends with em. They say a limb saver recoil pad is your friend!

The 35 whelen is pretty mulish but a great caliber. Bore sight to get close, shoot a few times to zero and get familiar with it then go hunting.

35 Whelen is a pussycat except in a light weight handi rifle....deal with the recoil...U gotta pay the price for big boy guns...just the way it is...great round
