Might also be worth asking "For what reason?" And if they reply wth generic vague, passive aggressive, Fedcoat jibber jabber, often beginning with words like "We just", just reply "Not good enough".

After what the FBI did to create perjury traps to try to frame duly elected or appointed officials in the last legitimate administration, you'd be a fool to answer anything or to talk with them at all. IMO, their only real goal would be to try to get you to hang yourself or to give them probable cause to get a warrant.

IMO, if they do manage to take you in for questioning (with a warrant I presume), "Fifth" is a perfectly valid one word response to any question by an alphabet souper. They have shown they are not to be trusted.

Another (yeah, like most of us would have the gravy to actually do this if put in the situation) possible reply "If you want to go fishing, there are a number of fine reservoirs in the area. Do be aware that you have to obtain a Mississippi fishing license first though, to be legal".

Why would a SBA3 be an issue anyway? Have I missed something? I have seen where braces were being looked at but no change that I have seen.

There's a new danger to firearm loss recently. Pythons. One ate a woman in Indonesia the other day, and those big snakes are all over FL and probably other coastal areas. If one can swallow a human, a few black rifles and handguns would be no problem.

Ah Yes! Thank You! The greatly feared Colt Python boating accident. All my Colts are on the boat.

If your ex decides to tell the police you threatened her, the BATF won鈥檛 knock! And it takes 6 months and a good lawyer to get your firearms back. Pontotoc, MS
Red Flag laws aren鈥檛 anything new for the BATF. No warrant needed.
I don't think the ATF cares too much about Domestic Violence. That would be the local LE that would respond to that.

I don't know why local LEO would even contact the ATF about a domestic violence threat.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but I did see the first page and the last, which wasn't really related to the first - so you may have all reached a decision on this in your own minds.

I don't dare post on topics like this anymore, as I learned my lesson months ago. Hopefully, I won't be tarred and feathered. The OP didn't fair so well. I had forgotten about it until I got this email from a retired friend of mine in North MS, who bought some 257 Wby brass from me recently. Below is a copy/paste of his email. I didn't ask for specific names, but if you didn't uncover this information already, this might narrow it down if your a believer or add more names to your BS list if you're not. I don't really care one way or the other, I'm simply reporting what was handed to me voluntarily without me mentioning anything about the forum discussion.

My only question is why wouldn't the ATF just haul them to Federal prison instead of issuing warnings? Surely Biden's newly appointed ATF director wants to make an example out of somebody.?! Maybe it'll be me. 馃し鈥嶁檪锔

Begin message:

I have noticed the guys that were reselling ammo and guns on the secret FB pages have dropped off dramatically lately.
I have a friend that was making a killing buying and reselling guns and ammo at the Ripley flea market and on Facebook. Him and several others were recently visited by the ATF and hand delivered Cease and Desist orders! One guy had over 50 handguns seized! He was buying new and flipping them. Not a smart move. I personally saw and took a photo of my friends order. He was shaken to his toes and stuck with a lot of ammo and pistols. It has about broke him. I kept warning him. So he is stuck with over 20 pistols and LOTS of ammo. Lol
I did not find your brass that much higher than what MidWay USA offered it for, if they would have had it.

End message:

Just in case anyone is curious, I sold him 50 pieces of new Weatherby brass in 257 Wby for $94 plus $11 UPS shipping, which he insisted on vs the Postal Service. Hopefully that falls into the category of decency or at least minimally flagrant. Lol. If you can find Weatherby brass for under $2 a case, you should go quickly to the nearest track or casino.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am recovering from a shoulder surgery to follow up the neck surgery in December after taking a fall doing my own roof repair/tree trimming post hurricane in November. Goes to show how much you can save doing it yourself...馃槚

Send me your cell phone number and I will send you a picture of the cease and desist order my buddy was personally served with. I don鈥檛 have the copy of the man who had over 50 guns confiscated letter. He is facing prison time though. It was considered 鈥渟traw sales.

Message above was response.
Pic not coming through. I'll have to download it and see if I can get it to come up.

Here is a partial close up of the document and a pic of the other correspondence that was left the warned individual. I have the person's name and address on the document that was provided to me in confidence. I don't think any person accused would want their name and address published on any forum when pertaining to such a private matter. Or for fear of some one attempting a robbery thinking there were lots of guns around. I will try to print the photo and block the name and address so the entirety of the notice can be read. Apparently, a couple are going to jail. One was a convicted felon who was actually manning the booth at the flea market. The Web page operator is also going up on charges. The friend of my friend got off with this warning, as they didn't have enough on him, apparently.

You would think an official letter from the ATF would be on ATF letterhead...

AND it would read much easier if you included the whole letter and redacted his info rather than the chop job. Otherwise it looks like something I could print at home.

Fortunately for campers and hikers you can hear them clanking their way toward you after they eat a bunch of firearms hardware. When they drop out of a tree, it sounds like a big arsenal duffle hitting the ground and sometimes during a drop something goes off and ends the snakes' career.

Hey, boss man, enlighten everyone on what the O-fficial ATF letterhead looks like. We all may need to know. Better yet, why don't you personally drive a copy of this up to your nearest ATF Field Office and ask. That will settle it right then and there. As stated in my original post in this thread, I don't give a 1/2 a chip whether anybody believes it or not. But somebody wanted to see the evidence, well here is what started stirring the pot. It took me 15 minutes of my life to print you a little less of a "chop job" for your personal viewing pleasure. That's about 14 1/2 minutes more than it's worth. This man's name and address won't be brought out by me. I gave my word to my friend, and it's the decent thing to do. You know people DO make money at home that they try to pass off as the real thing. Anybody could find ANYTHING online and copy and paste right? So how DO you know when it's the real thing? Go ask! Anybody want to take the challenge? SURELY SOMEBODY here is ex- or current law enforcement that has a friend that can verify if this is what the genuine article would look like. I questioned it myself at first. I couldn't understand why a warning would be issued if something illegal was done. I didn't have all the details. People WERE arrested over this. At least 2. This person has escaped prosecution, at least temporarily, by virtue of lack of evidence to convict OR maybe he plea bargained his way out and rolled on the others. Have no idea. I've got other emails with more details. That's not relevant here. The only question here is whether this document is real or not. The address on this is to a TINY little place I'd never even heard of before in MS. My friend told me about this in confidence, and I hadn't thought a split second about this thread until he told me. Now his word is good enough for me. Maybe I'm old fashioned. A man that I know is a good man that gives me his word, that's all I need. Some people, by nature, won't believe anything if believing means they have to worry about it, or even face it. There MIGHT be more pages to this, I didn't ask. Maybe his buddy concocted the whole thing to drive off his competition. Hey, THERE'S an alternate idea. Don't care. You guys are grown and can make up your own minds. Tried to blow up the emblem on the letter for you, but it's a picture of a picture of a copy of a picture of a copy of a picture. It's a little grainy. Can't make it any clearer without showing you the oldest copy personally. Not going to happen. Best wishes.
