She's just a product of her environment. You would be just as much a fish out of water in her's. Give her some credit for being open minded enough to do what she did in 30 days. I thought she did a great job listening and seeing the gun culture. The father did a great job of not being overbearing about the gun culture and listening to other points of view as well. I think we would all do well by understanding the sane facts of gun violence and not the hype of the liberal media. We would do better by showing that guns are just tools of many a sport just like cars, bats, knives, etc.. They all can kill in the wrong hands. When a non-shooter, visitor has their first experience on a range and sees rambo wannabes in dress or action it portrays preconceived pictures antigun types perpetuate and thus negative perceptions of those of us who enjoy shooting as a pure sport. I'd personally give her an A for effort and openmindedness.
I've just started watching it. I'm at the 55 second mark and the narrator (film maker?) has just shown me how little he knows about the Constitution. He says, "Our forefathers GAVE US the right to bear arms over 200 years ago..."
Neither they nor the Constitution give us any rights as they pointed out in the Constitution and in their writings. It was their belief that we have all rights naturally. The only reason that they added the Bill of Rights was to spell out the most important rights that would not, should not, could not be taken from us... yet some are so ignorant or arrogant as to try.

Kind of long but, I would recommend this for anyone whose family member was anti-gun. She went from a closed mind, no guns for citizens period to someone who understood why people own guns. I think talking with the man who had to actually protect his family opened her eyes somewhat. Seeing bullet holes in the man's house with his children and wife in the same room was as much proof as anyone would need. I would recommend to anyone who had a loved one that was as closed minded as this lady was to firearms, make a deal that if that person would watch this, you would watch anything Sarah Brady or any of the other anti-gun crowd had out there.
