Does anyone here have any of the VZ grips, such as the aliens, diamondbacks, gators, recons,or operators?
I want some for my 1911, but cant feel the grips without buying some. I can buy a set and ship them back if I want a different set, but I want to feel some of them if possible before I order.

i've got the 320s....nice texture, but not nearly as rough as the others since they're meant more for carry and people with soft hands

I have a set of Mil Tac grips that I use. Very aggressive pattern. I like them. VZ style very similar.

If you are using for carry then don't get very aggressive pattern. Close to your body and you have the cheese grater effect. These are Mil Tac. Great for competition when hands are sweaty.

I've got a set of the gatorbacks in green black linen on my Kimber. I bought them years ago and gatorback was all they offered at the time. I love them - the texture isn't too rough and they look great on the gun.

I have the 320's and the Aliens. I feel that the 320's are too smooth for me but they are by no means slick and the Aliens are nice and grippy but can abrade my side when I ride my motorcycle. I do want to try the Elite Tactical Carry, I think they will be the proper blend of both with grip where it's needed and it won't rub a hole in my spare tire

i loved the aliens i had on my 1911... only thing i didnt like about it is i couldnt use the ambi safety with them, as they werent cut for it...

however, now i dont like ambi safeties, so that wouldnt bother me. lol
