Google revolutionary war veterans association appleseed shoots. I can't member the exact web site address right now. Have you ever shot an Appleseed? If not contact determined451 he can help ya a lot. We(Miss Hammer and me) have shot 2 now and it is so much fun and you learn so much more than just shooting from it. I highly recommend appleseed shoots for everyone especially kids.

If you do decided to shoot one. I suggest you take your lunch, elbow pads, gun oil, tools for just in case something goes wrong with your gun, 500 rounds of ammo, a shooting mat, chair, lots of water, make sure you take a rifle with a sling or 1 with sling studs. And I suggest talking with determined 451 for more info. Its a great history lesson along with great lessons in marksmanship. I have watched Miss Hammer grow a lot through the 2 appleseeds we have shot. I wouldn't trade our appleseed experiences for anything. We will be shooting them in the future when they are at Canton or in Jackson area.

Oh and eye and ear protection are required. If you are taking a child I seriously suggest the elbow pads and ear muffs instead of plugs. We learned from experience that plugs with kids are annoying and a bigger pain in the butt than you can imagine. I also suggest if you do decide to shoot it that you do both days. I will say they are long hard days but you get the full experience all of the history and marksmanship that they teach.

Coast Rifle and Pistol Club, Biloxi, Ms, will have an Appleseed on December 4-5th. Try to sign up soon, 14 out of 17 spots are taken. The one in May sold out quick. Any questioins, p/m me.

We also have one more scheduled at Desoto Rifle and Pistol Club. Dates for that are December 11-12.

P.S. on the sling swivels ,an inch and quarter, will be the exact fit for the GI slings we use.. probably available at the shoot. D-451
