My understanding w/ them also that you cannot sell them completed unless you are licensed as a firearms manufacturer. But I might be wrong maybe you just cannot manufacture with the intent to sell. Similar to you cannot buy a gun for another person but if you buy then sell for whatever reason to a 3rd party you are okay.

At what point does it have to be serialized?
From what I've read, you don't have to, but it would be a good idea in case it ever gets stolen. If it gets stolen and used in something bad, at least you'd have some sort of records to report it and ID it.
If it gets stolen and used in something bad, I rather the ownership not be traced back to me anyway!

which machine did he use? couid you just get an attachment for a large drill press
This is what he used>>>>>Link
He did say that he was upgrading to one from Grizzly that was about $1,000.

He says a drill press can't handle the lateral force of the endmills, unless its a very expensive drill press, plus it doesn't do as clean a job as a mill.

I have a sieg x2 by grizzly, same as the harbor freight mentioned above. Decent mill, although they need to be upgraded to ballscrews and dro or you can cnc it for around 400 ish. If you do buy a new one get the one from grizzly, cheaper and it has mt3 collets "harbor freight version has r8" and grizzly has better customer support. I belive the total was 630 with freight to the door.

If i do upgrade to a sieg x3 i will put it up for sale here first since seeing some intrest and it would help someone out. Also ebay for endmills and such. I just got 10 1/4"x 3/8 shank endmills in yesterday for less then $22 shipped!
