The scope shown is a NC Star. I now have a UTG/Leapers (4x30) short scope on the Carbine. It is a "cheapy" scope, but I like the view through the UTG better than the NC Star. My A3 Carbine is not meant for extreme accuracy. It is for BLASTING ammo and having FUN................. The A2 Standard is my HP competition AR.

No, for a better cheek-weld (more comfortable looking through the scope - head not down so far as when scope is mounted directly on the A3 upper rail). Also, a riser is needed for scopes with big lenses to clear the handguard.chburnham said:
