Hello all. First post here. I was thinking it would be a good idea to get a parts kit to stash away for my ar15. I have a Colt. Any suggestions?

Depends, is it a large pin or small pin lower? .154 or .169




WHAT IS A LARGE PIN TRIGGER?
If your AR-15 rifle is NOT a Colt you don’t have to worry about “Large Pin” as an option for you. Large Pin AR-15 really only apply to Colt rifles as Colt is the only AR brand to have ever produced both small and large diameter pins in their triggers. Generally speaking Colt AR-15 rifles produced before 1991 and after late 2009 accept small pin triggers while rifles produced by Colt between 1991 and late 2009 commonly take large pin triggers.

True. If was me I’d ditch it if was large and get the more common small. For battlefield pickup parts purposes

having a spare detent is enough cause for another complete build lol. But yeah I do have half a dozen spare parts of everything in bags if the need arises.
