In process of finishing my RRA AR in 9mm SBR. Waiting on the paperwork to get back at this point so I can go ahead and get the upper here. Curious if anyone else out there has one and can comment on loads for it. I have been told that the 147 grain load I shoot in IPSC is perfect for it. Just wondering if anyone else had one. My SBR will have the 7" bbl.

Couple of Pics of the lower that is patiently awaiting for it's other half...... will have to coat the upper once it arrives to match

I am in the process of building one as well. I went with the 5" barrel with the Spike's Tactical billet upper. Plan is to run a carbine length FF YHM rail that I already had and an Evo-9 suppressor. With the 5", factory 147 grain loads will stay subsonic, which is good since I haven't gotten into reloading yet. I am not sure if that is the case with the 7" also. I will be using a ramped 9mm bolt from CMMG and the heavy buffer from Spike's. In the interest of keeping weight to a minimum, I am also going to run the entry length ACE stock.

Are you running the RRA integral lower, or are you using a magwell block?

Using the RRA Magwell block, just in case I ever want a 5.56 SBR. I registered the lower as multiple caliber as well. I have an Evo-45 suppressor just waiting on return of paperwork... will try it until I can swing a 9mm can. My 308 can works fine on my 5.56 caliber so I don't see why the 45 won't do that same.

It's the left handed thread for the HK USP Tactical Pistol, so I will have to get an adapter turned for it. I had one made for my 30 caliber so I could put it on my AR and it works fine.

Time for an update. MrClean, who did the engraving on your lower? It looks good. I got my billet upper, barrel and forearm put together. Here are some pictures:

I just ordered the lower and magwell block yesterday, so I should have it in about a week. Then it will be time for a bolt and magazines.

Orion Arms did the engraving I believe. It was between two companies and they are the only one I still have bookmarked. lol

Here are a couple of it totally done. Rocks like a charm... very accurate and NO recoil. I just emptied 20 rounds fast as I could pull the trigger in a 4" circle from about 12 yards.

I'm late to the party, but if I may add a couple of comments...
I've broken a hammer pin running 10" 9mm in my RR Colt M-16 and that was using a RAMPED BOLT. I caught it early, but if you don't know it's broken, it'll egg out your hammer axis pin hole. I don't have an interest in KNS but I've met the owners and done a fair amount of business with them over the years and highly suggest these pins for use with a blow back 9mm upper. As always, YMMV.

I can't recommend Orion highly enough for all your engraving/re-marking needs. They did the Mk4 to Mk5 remark on my Sterling SMG and I couldn't be happier. This involved welding over the existing Mk4 markings and re-engraving the correct Mk5 L34A1 nomenclature to include a custom serial number. It's perfection!
