Basically, the FFL applies to current production firearms (less than 50 years in age) whereas the C&R (Curio and Relic) license applies to guns that are over 50 years in age.
Definitely not.hotboymg said:So I couldn't purchase ar's with a c&rJMS39339 said:I think this topic may be in the wrong section, Mods.hotboymg said:What is the difference between a FFL and C&R

No, you can only buy guns that are on the ATF C&R firearms list. ARs aren't old enough yet. C&R FFLs are for collecting only. You can buy a gun that is on the list and have it shipped direct to you and not have to go through a dealer. You are suppose to keep a book that list the guns you have bought and sold with your C&R and the happy little boys at the ATF have the right to come and inspect you books and collection (your home) whenever they get the jollies and want too, no search warrant needed. I have only know one person that has had that happen to though, said it was no biggie. So I really wouldn't worry about that, but it can happen.hotboymg said:So I couldn't purchase ar's with a c&rJMS39339 said:I think this topic may be in the wrong section, Mods.hotboymg said:What is the difference between a FFL and C&R
