I really don't get the point in restricting gun licenses. I mean really, the people who apply for them are going to be the honest people just wanting to protect themselves, the people who are gonna rob or kill someone aren't going to go to the store to buy a new gun to go shoot someone they are gonna buy it out of the trunk of some car in a street alley and have no intention on getting a permit to carry. All they are doing is making it harder for people to protect themselves.

I saw that article the other day. I don't have any sympathy for the people of New York. The elected officials are a reflection of their voters.

Besides, we all know how well that would go over in good ole Miss. Folks who won't fight for their rights don't deserve any.

I moved from Syracuse, NY in 1971. I moved from my home town because of the lousy Liberal Yankee Politicians.

I applied for a pistol permit in 1963. I waited almost 2 years to have it issued. I had to buy the revolver and take the serial number to the courthouse before I could apply. The dealer had to hold the handgun until the permit was issued.

I bought a second revolver and the permit had to be amended. It took 1.5 years to have that done.

Both pistols were listed on my permit: Make, Model and serial number. Those were the ONLY handguns I could carry with the permit.
