Where are you buying those close to $300 dollars bolt actions? And what feeding issues are there with this round?
KYgunco
YouTube/google is full of issues. helps to polish everything of course but also cut back magazine feed lips to help with the issues. I figured that having a bolt upper on mag fed AR lower defeated the purpose of having it on an AR lower anyway and losing the Semi auto capability.

Thanks wasn't awaren of problems with that catridge in the AR. I'll be avioding it for now in the AR. Buddy has one bolt gun (pretty sure) and he loves it.
I think it is a viable upper to let you use the AR for more options just like having another AR upper for hunting or whatever.
I still think the round is good. And would be great with in a semi AR15 as long as it was reliable. If didn’t want to deal with a FFL then good idea. I think I’d just rather have a dedicated gun in it and can get an axis 2 which quality wise is probably about equal to BCA. I guess if wanted to build out a kit with all different caliber uppers for one lower than yeah it’s a cool buy. This was going to be a dedicated gun so I decided against it.

I have a BCA upper in 350 Legend that I have used deer hunting for 3 years with zero problems. Out to 150 yards it is deadly.
I also have a Ruger American bolt action in 350 Legend which uses the ar mags. I had all kinds of feed issues with it when I first got it. I finally figured out the problem was the edge surfaces on the bottom of the bolt were cutting into the next round in the mag when I was loading it. I took a honing stone to the bolt and deburred all of the edges and don’t have any problems now.
Actually the BCA upper will group better at a 100 yards than the Ruger will.
What upper? Side charging, bolt, or rear charging? Also curious what mags using.
