Interesting. Thanks. I remember when they moved to Oxford.

I tried to watch the linked video but there was an annoying rotating arrow in the middle of the screen promoting "JW Player". It was so annoying I closed the video after trying to clear the rotating arrow a few times.

I used to go to Oxford some, and once I drove into the parking lot there (it's north of town) thinking maybe they had tours of the plant. But they had a bunch of security and it was kind of intimidating; so I just left.

I was unaware that they made center-fire ammo there. I thought they started out just making shotgun ammo. I'm glad to know this. Awesome. I am a big fan of Winchester ammo and have been buying and using it for years.

I believe they started that a few years ago. They couldn't come to terms with their union workers in East St. Louis, so they moved it all here. Don't recall the details.

The brands of ammo I buy the most, are Federal (and Lake City), Hornady, and Winchester, but mostly Federal and Winchester. I like them both. I have occasionally bought Seller & Beloit, LAX (reloads), and a couple of others. I have not bought any Remington ammo since the early 80's.

"Since 2004, the Olin Corporation has been moving some manufacturing of its Winchester products from East Alton to Oxford, Mississippi, which started with the rimfire cartridge (.22LR) production, then its load and pack operations.

In 2010, the company announced the move of centerfire manufacturing to Oxford, Mississippi."
