    Not so much the cartridge or caliber, but the shot placement. Wow I never would have thought the world record grizzly was killed with a single shot 22.

    Cool story. Windage and elevation are important Mrs. Langdon, but shot placement and nerve are key.

    Mascott, I felt like stomping your toes. The same year your Grandmother was born. Well I guess I am not so old, I was born in 1954. See after you hit 55, your mind starts thinking younger.
    That was 8 years ago.:D I shot a big wild hog around 27 years ago, basically in the same spot, left ear with my 270, he also dropped like a rock.
    I once saw a person that survived being shot in one ear and the bullet came out the other ear. I could not hardly believe it either, it just was not their time to go.
