Bought both at e same time - and yes they went back and …… I will send you a PM
Everyone has their favorite scopes and not everyone has the same experiences with different brands …. one of the many reasons there are more than one scope manufacturer

Doc, sorry for your less than stellar experiences with Leupold, mine has been nearly the polar opposite of yours.
I have a 1st cousin who bough t a used 36X that later
broke on him and when he sent it back to Leupold, they
replied that they could not fix it due to the parts needed
were no longer available, he had paid around $300 for it
used and to handle his warranty claim they GAVE him
an over $1000(MSRP) brand new 35X model, I should
ever get that lucky.....

Replacing scope on savage mark II 22lr. Shots will be under 100 yards. Rimfire vs centerfire scope? Any suggestions on a good one...
As with any other scope question... What is your primary purpose for the rifle?
I mean, headlighting requires different things than shooting cans. For example.

The Nikon Pro Staff Rimfire works well for me and is not expensive.
The Nikon Prostaff Rimfire is my favorite inexpensive rimfire scope, it works very well on my Marlin XT-22ZR
