I have seen several pictures of the rifles that some of this forums members shoot in F-Class competetion. Some of them have what appears to be a Sinclair International bipod. If this is a correct assumption on my part, could one of you post a picture of the bipod folded, if in fact it does fold. I am considering on of these bipods for my Savage BAS-K but to get the rifle in my safe, the bipod will have to be folded or removed.

The Sinclair F-Class bipod does not fold. The Sinclair Tactical model does fold. mstrophyhunter has one of those, he can give you more detail on that one.

sinclar tactical does fold its a little pricey but i think they are worth it i have one that i really like has only to positions tho outside position to low inside position to low so i added a center position just about oerfect now get you one you will like it

Specs for a F-Class Bipod?

I don't think I can swing the Sinclair suggestions. I'll have to save up for one.

What are the specifications for a good long range rifle/F-Class rifle bipod?
Swivel?
6-9 inches
Etc.

I would like to be able to try the F-Class matches but I also plan on hunting with this rifle (some) so I may want to be able to shoot from prone or sitting.

For prone shooting, I would suggest the 9-13" models. For seated shoooting, you will need something longer. The 6-9" models are designed for shooting from the bench.

I shot with the Harris 6-9 swivel for about 2 years. Tried the 9-13 was a little to tall for me plus the rifle did not feel as stable at the taller height.

I guess the other consideration is what class you are gonna shoot in.

Fancy rests puts you in Open class with the Big Boys

Nah...There's a new class where you don't have to have a super fancy rifle, and a $80 Harris Bi-pod will get you in the game.

Gotta start somewhere...

U should come to a couple of matches and watch and shoot a few rifles before you write it off as only a rich man's game...

About the only "requirement" I can see is you will have to become a reloader, if you are not already one...otherwise it gets expensive ammo wise
