We had the grandkids over for the weekend .... not much to do around the house on Sunday so I decided to take the boat out on the REZ and up the Pearl River. Have not had her fired up in about 2 months and needed to put a charge on the batteries - at least that was my excuse. Hooked the boat to the truck, loaded the kids, wife packed a lunch and off to the Rez we went. Launched at the Madison Landing and headed for the river channel. Went all the way up the Pearl pass Ratliff's Ferry to a sandbar on the Pearl. The kids had a good time wading and playing in the sand!! When we got off on the sandbar, the grandson asked me where were the fishing poles? Should have brought a couple!! I also enjoyed being on the water again!!

Yeah, we got the grandson tonight (2 1/2). Had to work late or it'd be T-ball or walking down the block. Wish I had his energy. Only other one is a 1 Y.O. granddaughter that we don't get to see but about twice a year since they live where ever the 82nd Airborne is, can't remember them Army bases.

Captain, looks like a good time was had by all.

Don't forgot that taking kids on trips like that will hopefully make them want to keep doing outdoor activities. Unfortunately, so many kids these days just seem to spend too much time indoors.

Nice looking kids. If you did that in the Tombigbee river where we live you might be alligator food. Nothing like grandkids though.
