Yes, technically it is better nose first. However, PB bullets that have a little flashing on the bases (sprue plate too loose, pouring too fast, or lead too hot) leave an uneven edge on the base when fed nose first. As you should know.... a "clean/sharp" base edge is best for accuracy. Base edge is the last part of the bullet that leaves the muzzle just before the on rush of HIGH PRESSURE gasses. If the base edge is not uniform, the gases don't vent evenly, thus possibly "kicking" the bullet off course.
With BB bullets the base edge is not the very base of the bullet. The bevel separates the base edge from the base of the bullet. A little flashing on a BB bullet is no big deal (other than weight differences).
