Well we busted them pretty good. Dogs did real good once everything thawed out some. We ended up with 57. A bunch of swamp rabbits also. The most I've ever seen. It was a great hunt.

Just curious. My dad used to talk about seeing them when he lived at Parchman. His dad was a guard there and they used to hunt them with the inmates. He said some were as big as fat housecats with ears 10" long.

Gave my dad a bunch. He loves them. My mama will be frying them for him. I may sneak by there when they're ready.

Like Captain, I didn't know there were that many rabbits in MS these days. Back in the 70s there were rabbits crawling all over the neighbors in Jackson. These days it is just bushy-tailed tree rats......

Good eating and you got a good bunch of dogs. I prefer them fried but wouldn't pass by a bowl of stew. Got a bunch of hawks P.O.'ed at ya'll.

I think all the CRP fields are really helping the population. We jumped a couple of good sized quail coveys today also.

Good to see the rabbits and quail back in the Delta 15-20yrs ago, you never saw any. I think all the coyotes we had put a big dent in them.

Somebody is going to eat a lot of wabbit stew. I know there is no shortage of bunnies around my place. I always get two or three on my game cameras with the deer.
