No customizing on Series 70s, as there are much better platforms to start with. The 70 Series guns are also very expensive as a rule and stand on their own as collection pieces.

Another Series 70 came home with me, but this one from an Internet auction site. It's an early 1980s gun in satin nickel with Pachmayr Colt medallion wraparound grips.

Yessir, there is a cure. It's called "poverty", but I wouldn't recommend it...too many side effectsFree_Stater said:

Here's the "new" satin nickel Series 70 I got yesterday. I removed the wraparound Colt Pachmayer grips and put on a set of coco bolo Colts by Herrett. I think it looks better like this.
