Around here, I can find 1lb of some powders. Maybe when Sportsmans Warehouse opens back up, it will be better. In the meantime, I'm looking at powder online and trying to figure out the hazmat charges. Midway is out of the question for powder, but Grafs and Wideners has some pretty good pricing (especially with the C&R).

Anyone here order online and if so, who do you use? Do they hit you for one hazmat per order or per line item?

Get ready to pay hazmat charges...nothing to figure out ...UPS figured out how to screw us on primers and powder by creating the charge...no way around it...minimize by doing group buy

Powder Valley has been good for me, although I've also bought powder from Midway before without a problem.

The HazMat fee is per order (or box) with a limit by weight or quantity to what fits in the box.

HazMat fee is not worth ordering just a few lbs of powder or a few 1000 primers.

Try to get some friends together and do a co-op order to share the HM fee............

I'll buy one-pounders to work up loads. Once I like one, I'll buy an 8 pounder.

When BassPro in Memphis has something I use (HP38 for example), its $28 plus 10% Memphis sales tax for 1lb.

Graf is $107 for 8lbs plus hazmat and shipping...still works out better. Plus it helps my business case to the wife. :smile:

Be aware if you buy from Midway. I ordered primers and powder & got hit with two hazmat fees, because they dropped-shipped the powder from a warehouse somewhere.
