Good friends and good weather made for an excellent day to be out pulling the trigger. It seldom gets any better than this. While the usual assortment of cool modern toys were indeed out today, it was more like C&R day which was a refreshing change. Unfortunately I didn't get photos of the Lanchester Mk1* or the STEn Mk2.

5.M44 mosin nagant 7.62x54r. (1944 Sako) Close enough. It's actually a M-39 Finnish Nagant. The give away in the photo is the rear sight and stock, both of which are different than their Russian counterparts.
6.M1919A6 Originally built for .30-'06, this one is running a conversion to shoot cheap 7.62x54r.

Would love to have a Broomhandle with wooden holster/stock. Unfortunately the last one I saw for sale had a asking price of 1 arm, 1 leg, and 2 family jewels. :shock:
